The 2009-2010 Varadero 125 carried on unchanged from the fuel-injected 2007 update. It offered a liquid-cooled V-twin, five-speed gearbox, discs front and rear and a half-fairing modelled on the bigger Transalp. Testers liked its comfort and high-speed stability for a 125, though at over 150 kg it was heavy for novices.
